Greek Weather in February

February is the month of Greek weather, which, as all Greeks know, is extremely hot and dry. It can also be very cold, with temperatures hovering near the freezing point. Most people would agree that it's a very beautiful time of the year to visit Greece, especially if you have access to the mountains of the Dolomites. However, the weather in February can be harsh on the body.

This is because of the influence of the Northern Summer. The summer also called Summer of the Ancient (Sumers) is characterized by long spells of high pressure that can last for several months. This creates the ideal conditions for the development of forest fires. At the height of the season, the weather is particularly dry and hot. However, there are some regions that experience milder and more comfortable weather thanks to precipitation.

Most meteorologists believe that the greatest threat to the Greek weather during the winter months is from the storms which can hit the area around the equator. The storms usually last for about two weeks, although some can stretch out to three weeks. In the middle of winter, winds are usually strongest along the coasts while inland temperatures remain steady. On the islands of the Aegean Sea, Greek weather is mostly balmy all through the winter months.

Normal temperatures tend to be lower than normal, with daytime temperatures sometimes reaching up to 14 degrees lower than usual. A number of mountains on the Greek Island of Lesbos, for instance, can reach temperatures of -5 degrees. While these places rarely see heavy rainfall, some can experience heavy snowfall. Aphrodisiacal vines, often used in fertility rituals, can also have an effect on this type of weather.

February is traditionally the month of spring in Greece. With the onset of the growing season, this is the best time for trekkers and bikers to visit the countryside and take a tour of the mountains. As a result, there is a heavy demand for tents and other camping gear at this time as many tourists choose to visit the countryside during this period. As a result, the prices of camping gear go up considerably in February.

In Greece, the only month in which the weather is entirely unpredictable. April, May, and June can offer the best weather with average temperatures hovering above 17 degrees Celsius. Heavy downpours can also be expected in these months. However, the winds pick up in July and August, making it more pleasant. Humidity increases in the interior of the country in August, which can affect the health of the inhabitants.

For the most part, the Greek weather follows the same pattern every year. It starts off with summer and the sun increases its heat slowly. The nights are cool and the weather becomes warm before the end of February. After that, it becomes increasingly cold as it transitions into spring. There are isolated showers in mid-summer, which are not related to any weather conditions in the country.

Tourists planning to go to Greece should carry along with the necessary documents such as a passport, driving license, etc. Most airlines will not allow travelers to board planes without the required documents. Traveling during the most favorable months is a good idea. Traveling during bad weather can make you suffer a lot as the traveling business here is largely dependent on favorable weather.

You will have to invest in an all-inclusive holiday package if you are planning a trip to Greece in the month of February. In general, the weather here is favorable from mid-September to early December. However, the best time to visit this country is in the months of March and April. This is the time when the weather is at its finest. Beaches and other tourist spots remain crowded during this period. The weather is also moderate during the summer.

Traveling during colder months of the country can bring you some great fun and enjoyment. You get to visit more interesting places and have a unique experience. If you are visiting Athens, make sure that you visit Syntagma square, Paphos, andacio Nile. You can try trekking in Mount Tropez and traverse the Great Gades. In the evening, you can enjoy the theater performance of Athens, which is full of fans and music enthusiasts.

I would advise you to book your air tickets well in advance as the weather in Greece is unpredictable at times. If you are planning a trip to the northern part of the country, such as the Isthmian Islands, you will not have to face much of a problem with the weather. However, you will have to take extra care while sailing to the southern part of the Aegean Sea. It is highly recommended that you take expert sailing training before sailing.
